What Causes Blurred Vision And Ringing Ears Post Injury?
Hey guys, I was at work and I hit my thigh on a truck bumper pretty hard. As a result, my head started pounding, my vision got blurry and all the lights got really bright. I started sweating and a loud ringing erupted in my hearing. I will say it again, I got hit pretty hard. My only question is if it s a result of the actual impact. Or if it s something I should get checked out? I feel fine now. The only thing that hurts is my thigh.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Trauma to thigh is responsible for the pain in that area. However, the blurring of vision, head pounding, loud ringing in ears and sweating do not appear to be associated with thigh injury. The impact on the thigh can however lead to sympathetic stimulation and this sympathetic stimulation can lead to symptoms of head pounding and sweating. The blurring of vision and ringing of ears need to be investigated. These symptoms can be due to problem in eyes and ears. Thus, clinical assessment of eyes and ears is required by an ophthalmologist and an ENT specialist.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
