What Causes Blue And Green Discoloration Under The Nail Bed?

Hi. I have a bluish green something that looks like a bruise under my thumb nail bed that is not getting better after almost 6 weeks. Under the edge of my nail there is also brown streaking the same size as the marking under my nail bed. My thumb throbs off and on also. I didn t hit it and so thought maybe I had fungus. My nail person says it is not fungus and fungus medicine is not helping it go away. I have read about other possible infections that I might have. I do garden quite a bit. Please advise.

Hello,

Nail bed bleeding may later turn into green acter hemolysis or it may be pus of metal consumption may deposit on nails or icterus.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
