Hi,

As per your history, blue / brown marks are present at the bony prominences of spine and are asymptomatic. The following can be the probable diagnostic options
1) Warts
2) Cafe au lait spots as in neurofibromatosis
3) Segmental pigmentation disorder
4) Becker naevus
5) Urticaria pigmentosa

My suggestion would be to observe the spots for any increase in size, pigmentation, spread, pain, redness etc. You don't need to rush to a doctor. Only if you observe rapid changes, then you need to consult. For now, you can remain calm and just keep observing.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

General & Family Physician Dr. Vasudha's  Response
Hi,

You don't seem to have any pain or breathlessness. These are mostly skin changes due to stretching or rubbing and you need not be worried due to that. Still get it examined by your family physician to exclude any skin issue.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
