Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
A friend suffers from chronic Hep C (diagnosed 20 years ago) and cirrhosis of the liver (diagnosed 2 years ago) and stupidly has relapsed with alcohol for the last 2 months. Last night was a binge. Today the person can t stop vomiting (some blood), has a swollen abdomen (looking pregnant) and has a gray skin tone. I am obviously concerned...Should I force this person to go to the ER?
I am glad to see for caring your friend for his medical condition...
