What Causes Blood In Urine?

I m researching for my husband.Yesterday he noticed blood in his urine.Today it s worse.When he urinates there is a lot of blood coming out and even little clots (blobs) of blood.He has no pain anywhere.No burning,itching,or pressure.He s not running a fever.He s been drinking water and is going to the doctor tomorrow.I m just worried. Thank you.

Blood in Urine is called as Hematuria.As per your remarks it is painless,without any burning sensation and also no fever.You had not mentioned his age,any History of accident or trauma,use of any other medication,History of any other disesase.Anyhow following causes should be immeditaly ruled out :
1.Prostatic enlarment.
2.Any inherent disorder in bllod cells or kidney Glomuruli.
3.cancers
4.Kidney injury
5.Use of any medication such as on bllod thining anticogulant,heparin,aspirin etc
6.Bladder or kidney stone.
