What Causes Blood In Urine?

I had an episode of blood in my urine which actually prevented me from urinating. My physician took a urine sample and gave me CIPRO. There have been no more incidents (about 5 days preceding the blocked urine, small clots of blood were being discharged). A urine specimen was taken and the culture was negative. What is the likely diagnosis? I am a 70 year old, white male who had a partial prostatectomy about 8 years ago after two years of dealing with BPH. Thanks for the benefit of your thinking!

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have urinary tract infection. You should complete the course of antibiotics. You should also go for ultrasound abdomen and serum PSA level. Then if needed take further treatment accordingly.
