What Causes Blood In Urine While Treating Bladder Cancer?

I was diagnosed with a small malignant tumor in my bladder three years ago this month. Have had 3 mo. checks since and one 6 mo. check. My annual physical indicated microscopic blood traces in my urine test. My urologist has ordered a CTscan this week, to look for a cancer indication in my kidneys or uretors. What might my symptoms be for kidney involvement?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are having history of bladder cancer problem

Type of bladder cancer has to be known for giving more comment

Here chance of metastasis (tumour spread) can be there, so that CT scan investigation will be beneficial for further work up

Urine cytology examination also should be done to check for exfoliated malignant cell in urine

All these work up needed because although trace but constant blood in urine is not normal condition ..

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult urologist for examination and further work up accordingly
