What Causes Blood In Urine Of A 6 Year Old?

Hi Doctor, my 6 year old daughter has visible blood in her urine. She has had episodes of extreme discomfort during the night (3/4 times in 2 years) but it always resolved itself quickly, no other symptoms so we put it down to bubble bath or too long in the bath! Very worried now.
