What Causes Blood In Urine During 23 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I m 23 weeks pregnant and I ve been noticing blood on the toilet paper after wiping after urination. The urine dies not look bloody. This has been going on for a week. I have also noticed tiny clots. No fever or pain. I called OB office and the MA said I shouldn t be concerned unless I had heavy bleeding, however, I would feel more comfortable with a Dr. opinion.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

I agree. You should see your doctor for an assessment.

It is very likely that everything is fine and both you and the baby would be perfectly ok but you should be assessed.

This means that your abdomen should be examined, an urinalysis done and the doctor may also take a look at the vaginal/cervical region to make sure everything is ok.

The urinalysis is the check for urinary tract infection.

I hope this helps
