What Causes Blood In Urine And Burning Sensation During Urination?
Several months ago I had quite a large amount of visible blood in my urine, lots of burning etc. went to the doctor and after two rounds of heavy duty antibiotics it seemed to clear up but blood keeps showing up on lab tests. I am now having some mid back pain and horrible right upper leg pain. what is causing this, I can t seem to get rid of this infection, do I need to worry and maybe go to a urologist?
Hi Thanks for your query. I appreciate your concern for the blood in urine with mid back pain which radiates down to the right upper leg.
The symptoms are suggestive of renal colic (kidney pain) apparently caused by the stones either in kidney or in the right ureter (tube which drains the urine from kidney).
You need to visit a urologist for proper evaluation and workup like X rays of the abdomen and ultrasound to detect the exact location of the stones in the urinary tract and its treatment which depends upon their location and pressure changes.
Hope this answers your query. Wishing you best of your health. Rate this answer, if you are convinced.
