What Causes Blood In The Stools?

I had a hemorrhoid rupture about 2 months ago. It has been lightly oozing since it burst. Today during an easy bowel movement, I looked in the loo and saw more blood. I am a 39 year old male, 5'8" 220 lbs...Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hemorrhoids donot trouble much until we manage the constipation and there is no blood loss. SBut often hemorrhoid is the secondary manifestation of a cancer , but given your age that's not the first possibility. Please get the hemorrhoids examined, if it's a 3 rd or 4 th degree hemorrhoid, it needs to be surgically managed. You are recommended to get a sigmoidoscopy too.
