What Causes Blood In Stools While On Amoxicillin?

I took amoxicilin and had urchy back side after passing stool. There was bright red blood when I wiped with toilet paper twice. Today I noticed I had a slimy stool slightly mucusy. I hope this is from the amoxicylin which my doctor said rarely and not bowel cancer. I am 37 and there is no family history but I m freaking out a bit. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
Amoxicillin does not cause blood in stools. Based upon the history provided , in my opinion if you are having this problem consistently then you should meet SURGEON so that you can be properly examined and investigated.
Stay calm and use high fiber diet and laxatives.
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
