What Causes Blood In Stool?

I have had blood in my stools past two months. Sometimes I usually feel urge to go to bathroom and it is just blood for like a week and usually have to end up doing two caps of miralax to have a bowel movement or I will have a bought of severe diahrrea to the point I lose 3 to 5 pounds then the flatulence and blood continue for another week with very minimal passing of stool. Today I have maybe been to the bathroom 14 times with severe diahreea sometimes two cup fills sometimes one teaspoon but blood each time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to inflammatory bowel disease, polyp in the gut, piles, colon cancer
I would suggest to consult the gastroenterologist as early as possible and undergo detailed examination, stool tests, fecal calprotectine, routine blood tests, CA 19-9, CEA, sigmoidoscopy/colonoscopy.
Specific treatment will depend on the he tests results.
Drink plenty of lukewarm water, eat healthy light diet, avoid stress.
