Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here you have to consult to gastroenterologist first as blood in stool..

Your proctoscopy examination done first it will rule out .....
-Piles
-Proctitis
-Rectal ulcer etc if present ....

Second still cause not found than stool examination done ...
-If shows pus cells than bacterial dysentry can can be there ...
For which antibiotic given....
-If stool shows egg of ameba metronidazole needed ....

If still cause not found than colonoscopy done and from suspicion area biopsy taken and send for histopathological examination .....It will rule out colitis or malignancy if present ....
USG also helpful......

According to cause further management done ....

Discuss this step wise approach to your gastrosurgeon.

Take care .......
