What Causes Blood In Stool Of Infants?

Baby is 10 weeks old. Just discovered blood in stool last night and this morning. Baby cries (screams at times) just prior to releasing gas and/or bowel movement. Has a lot of gas which is expelled loudly and sometimes accompanied by bm and sometimes not. Baby is breastfed. Daughter is taking baby to doctor today. I am the grandmother just looking for some answers.
