What Causes Blood In Semen After Having Oral Sex?

Hi. I m 20 years old and every now and then over the past few years I ve experienced blood in my semen while engaging in oral sex. While receiving oral sex, I ve felt no pain or discomfort. When I use the bathroom afterwards, I don t see any blood in my urine. It usually goes away eventually but this has been a recurring problem for me. I ve seen doctors but they haven t found anything wrong with me. I m thinking maybe I ve been having this problem because I ve held my semen in too long prior to ejaculation. I thought it could be blood vessels popping but I m not sure. I ve also thought it was obstruction or epididymitis. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there. Blood in your semen could arise from a Urinary tract infection. Epidydimitis could be yes but first rule out a urinary tract infection.
First get a urine routine test done to rule out an infection.
Secondly if your symptoms persist you need to consult a Urologist.
Hope this helps.
