What Causes Blood In Mouth After Waking Up?

What is the next step as when i wake up I have blood in the mouth, also sometimes during the day. I have been to the dentist and had all my teeth checked and xrayed. All clear of gum disease. I am concerned as this is been going on for a couple of years now

Hi.
Blood in mouth on getting up can be coming from the throat, nasopharynx or trachea and larynx.
It is good that you have already taken an opinion of a Dentist.
You have to undergo an ENT and Upper GI endoscopy, X-ray chest, CT scan of the nose, sinuses and oro-pharynx to find out the lesion and get treated accordingly.
Also get the blood tested for bleeding time, clotting time, prothrombine time, platelet count, serum calcium. There may be an altered report. If so, consult a Hematologist .
