my father is having blood clots in urine since today morning, he is experiencing problems in discahrging urine also, he was on a course of anticoagulants including aspirin but they have been discontinued since 15 days and he is experiencing this clots in urine and problems in discharge only today
In the majority of cases with UTI's and bladder infections, patients experience a response to antibiotics (if they are susceptible to them) within the first 48 hours resulting in a general improvement of well being and gradual suppression of symptoms.
Most symptoms start reducing within that duration, but blood and clots may take about 2-4 days to completely stop and so you should monitor that, especially because you mentioned that you did not respond to the first antibiotic used.
So if you continue to experience the bleeding and clots, then you may have to report to your doctor as he/she will have to check whether the antibiotics being used are actually helping or not. I would advise you to wait until day 4 of the antibiotic and then report to your doctor if the clots continue, just so your doctor can make sure all is going as planned.
