What Causes Blood Clots In The Urine And Back Pain?

I am 30 yrs old. I had my routine papsmear three days ago, and I told my doctor that I constantly spot blood, happens when Im stressed, or when I am sexually active. He decided to cauterize my cervix. The cramps started immediately and lasted hours, but I also attended an hour exercise class! Day after procedure and since, I have been releasing dark red/brown clots when I urinate. And today I am experiencing very strong cramps and back pain with period like bleeding. Im not sure if this is normal? Should I go to ER. Please advise.
