What Causes Blood Clots And Odour To Come Out Of Nose?

Hi Doc I have a 14yr old boy, and he has a bad odor coming out from his right nostril. Sometimes there will be smelly puss coming out as well as some white yellow clots, and today he had a nose bleeding with clots of blood what should I do and what might be the cause

your son has Acute rhinosinusitis on the right side i.e.infection of paranasal sinuses which can cause nasal discharge including pus and occasionally blood and halitosis or bad odour from nostril. He has to undergo the following tests:
Complete blood count
Culture & sensitivity of pus discharge from right nostril
X-ray paranasal sinuses Water-view
Treatment a course of antibiotics (which may be modified as per culture & sensitivity report as soon as available).
