What Causes Blood And Mucus In Urine Along With Burning,chills And Sweats While Urinating?

My friend went to the doctor today with blood and mucus in his urine, chills and sweats and burning when he voids. I work in oncology and am a 3 time cancer survivor. They re waiting on culture results. I m just a bit nervous. What are the different possibilities?

blood in urine can be a sign of a serious medical condition, however, it shouldn't be ignored. should be evaluated,order tests to confirm or rule out an underlying cause.
There is no specific treatment , because it's a symptom .it may be due to infection,stone,cancer in kidneys,ureters,bladder,urethra, glomerulonephritis,Enlarged prostate or prostate cancer,Inherited diseases ,
poly cystic kidney disease , Kidney injury from an accident or sports.
investigations required are,
x-rays,CT scan,ultrasound ,Kidney biopsy.urinalysis,culture.
treatment depend of cause.
