What Causes Blood And Mucus In Stool?

Hi! I have started having blood in my stools and mucus. I have the blood previously in my stool occassionally but now seems to be more often and lots of mucus. I have been diagnosed previously with hematuria because I have blood in my urine but the doctor has not been able to locate the reason for the blood in my urine and diagnosed as benign hematuria.
