What Causes Blood Along With Saliva While Spitting?
Hi,
My mom after she wakes up from her sleep and spits ,dark reddish blood is comming along with the saliva, but she is not having any pain or anything. This is not happening all the time and she is not caughing , so i want to know the possible reasons for this

As per your complain blood in saliva on waking up can be from any of the regions like the gums, throat, upper respiratory tract, nose and sinus. You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case if it does not seems to be due to oral infection, you should consult an Otolaryngologist and get a thorough evaluation done and he/she can advise you to get an upper G.I scopy , endoscopy, MRI of the sinuses and nasal passages and complete blood picture done to rule out the cause and site of bleeding and treat you accordingly..
