What Causes Bloating Below Rib Cage While Having Celiacs?
I have celiacs, been gf for almost 5 years. The past 4-5 months I have been experiencing severe bloating below the rib age when I eat. The other day, I passed a brown fleshy piece of tissue (1/3 the size of my pinky finger and approx 2 inches long) I have noted some mucus in my stool as well. Have always struggled with movements so been taking high dose acidophilus ...my concern is first with the bloating that frankly is causing me to not want to eat and 2 the brown fleshy matter that I passed...
It sounds like some of the food you are eating likely has gluten, and you are not aware of it. I would very closely examine ALL of the food that you have eaten recently and I think you will find the culprit. If that doesn't solve it, try keeping a food and symptom diary and follow up with your primary care doctor. It is very likely a food allergy/intolerance (e.g. celiac, lactose intolerance... etc).
