Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what appears to be a bloated/ distended stomach. Even though I am eating very little ( one meal a day usually ). As such, it takes very little to fill me up. Also too my upper abdomen ( below my rib cage ). I have no intention between my upper and lower abdomen. I am experiencing no other symptoms. No change in temperature/ fever. No trouble with bowel movements/ urination. My weight has not fluctuated either way even though I am consuming very little food. No pains/ tenderness. It is troubling me as my clothes are getting tighter. It seems to me that the. Swelling should be going down. Also too, i am not a smoker or beer/ alcohol drinker. Any clues as to what the issue is?
The symptoms seem to be related to bloating probably due to an indigestion issue. I suggest using a medication to relieve the bloating such as Simethicone three times a day. I also suggest to avoid food that can trigger the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
