What Causes Blisters On Tongue While On Nebulizer Mix Of Albuterol And Duoneb?

I have been alternating every 8 hours nebulizer use of Duoneb and Albuterol bromide and now find my tongue is full of tiny blisters and a feeling of not being able to swallow well. Help. I have adult onset asthma with a bad attack following a severe cold.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the small blisters over the tongue seems to be due to side effects of the medicine that you are using and seems like Apthous Ulcers..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case if the side effect of medication is ruled out as the cause change of drugs or reduced dosage can help..
As of now you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily.
Do warm saline gargles..
Suck ice and do cool water rinses..
Gargle with 1:1 solution of benadryl and milk of magnesia..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
