Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. If boil is on hair follicle then it is most likely folliculitis due to bacterial infection. In case of Genital Herpes there will be associated symptoms like itching , burning sensation or pain. Syphilis is associated with painless lesion which looks like burnt out type. So if such symptoms are not there and there is no multiple lesions then nothing to worry. You can apply Betadine ointment for local application on the lesion.
