I realize I should probably be asking the man who did the piercing this but since I m here...I got my lip pierced about two and a half weeks ago and it s been healing great. No soreness or pain right now. However, there is what looks like a blister on the inside of my lip where the piercing goes through. It s not attached to the piercing at all, thank goodness, and it doesn t hurt, but I m still worried about what it is and what to do with it.
Hi, This is most likely oral mucocele (retention cyst) if it is clear fluid filled, painless. It is due to rupture or obstruction of salivary glands. Most of the time it resolves spontaneously so you can wait and watch. If it is increasing in size or started paining better to consult doctor (oral surgeon), it may require surgical intervention.
