What Causes Bleeding Of Nose After Shower?

I have nose bleeds after a bath. I didnt used to get nose bleeds up until 2 years ago, I believe they started through stress. For the past few months I have felt slightly dizzy and have nose bleeds after baths and sometimes spontaneously. Should I go to my GP ? Regards, Clare

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Hot water dilates the blood vessels in your nose, which can make your nose bleed.

So, it is normal.

Avoid strenuous exercise as this puts pressure on the blood vessels in your nose and may cause it to start to bleed again.

I also recommend to do a blood test for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
