What Causes Bleeding From The Foreskin Of Penis During Intercourse?

Hello...I was having sex two nights ago....and my penis started bleeding (almost instantly after penetration I reckon) from the skin that connects the foreskin to the head....it felt as if it ripped....it is still connected, however there is a slight little lump... Which feels quite sensitive when touched...is this something to worry about? And will it heal naturally? Look forward to a reply... Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. It appears to trauma due to friction that caused tear of skin causing the bleed and pain. There is nothing to worry about as the skin will heal on its own in few days without any medical intervention.
Avoid intercourse till the skin heals completely, keep the area dry and clean to prevent any infection as broken skin can give way to microbes to grow. Apply hydrating cream like Aquaphor once a day to avoid itching when the skin heals, vitamin C supplement( about 500 mg) available over the counter can be taken once daily will help the skin heal early.
I hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
