What Causes Bleeding From The Anus?

Hi I am a 44 year old male and in December I had a colonoscopy because I was bleeding from my bottom when I went to the toilet. The results came back all clear.

I am still bleeding when I go to the toilet and its not going away.

I drink on average 60 to 70 375ml of beer per week, could this be pancreatitis that I have?

I have not pains in my chest but have very bad pains in the past which subsided after 5 mins so I did nothing about them,

Regards,

Gerard Taylor.

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to Hemorrhoids.

Some advice that I can give to you is:
-Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas.
-Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter Hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent.
-Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
