What Causes Bleeding After An Inguinal Hernia Surgery?

I had inguinal hernia surgery on left side yesterday. Walking around house is not too bad but I cannot sit on chair. Is that normal? Also few hours after getting home, when went to bathroom a fair bit of very light blood drained out into toilet. I put a bandage on top of existing bandages and don t see anything more since. Do I need to go get it checked?
