What Causes Black Stools And Mild Acidity?

sir ,i am passing black stool for last 20 days but it sometimes seems brown with a milk soured smell and a normal solid stool.sir i have not taken any iron supplemented food or medicine.there is no pain nothing disturbing or uneasiness except mild acidity .please state the reason and homely remedies if there.age :32,height:5.4,weight:72 ,habit:irregular and untimely diet,smoking,drinking alcohol.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Black stool are due to iron which you are not taking and bleeding in GI tract unless proved otherwise.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
First of all get the stool tested for 3 consecutive days particularly for occult blood and if positive please get further investigations urgently:
Clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist.
Upper GI Endoscopy and colonoscopy.
Tests of blood.
CT scan of abdomen.
All these will give you the proper diagnosis and give plan of management.
Stop smoking and alcohol; have homemade food, soft and bland.
