What Causes Black Stool And Grade 2 Reflux Oesophagitis?
Just noticed i have completely black stools, i do have grade 2 reflux oesophagitis with severe ulceration as assessed by a gastro consultant. Taking 40mg Pantoprazole once a day but i have had severe pain all day today and just wandering whether this could be anything potentially serious.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of black stool then it could be due to some iron therapy if your are ever taking this, second this could be due to some internal micro capillary bleeding of intestine and for confirmation of this it may need some investigation, it may be due to some diet, best routine test is stool examination, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
