What Causes Black Spot On The Gum Behind Molar Tooth?

My molar next to where my wisdom tooth would be ( it hasn't broke the surface) is in terrible pain mostly while in eating. I just noticed there's a black spot on the gum (on top) behind the molar .. Not sure what this from ? Is it due to an infection on the tooth or something with my wisdom tooth ?

Hi..
Can understand your concern.

As per your complain pain in tooth and black spot that is appearing to you at the top of the gum seems to be due to infection in the tooth leading to black spot that is the infected portion of tooth..

When the infection becomes deep and reaches the central portion of tooth here there are nerves and blood vessels there is inflammation of nerves causing pain and when this infection reaches the area below the root tips of tooth it causes infection there and then there is increase in pain when you chew..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist and get an x ray done and in case if it is infected tooth Root Canal Treatment followed by antibiotics and painkiller will relieve..

Hope this information helps..
