What Causes Black Patch On The Hand After Having Arthroscopic Knee Surgery?

I had orthoscopic knee surgery on Tuesday. All went well. However, in the shower, I notice a bluish black patch on the back of my right hand. This is also the same hand where they stuck the IV needle. It doesn t hurt and I feel fine. Should I be concerned?

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got small hematoma. No need to worry much. Hematoma gradually resolved by itself .Thrombophob gel local application three times a day over it(no rubbing) can help in resolving it. . You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
