What Causes Black Discoloration On The Toe Nail?

Hi my big tonail has been black for about 3-4 weeks now and I haven t done anything about it.Then today as I was playing a series of long matches it was pushed against the top of my boot and now it s throbbing and extreamly sore. Pls help me. What should I do?

You should see a surgeon as you may have a growing in nail that it is a nail growing in the skin beside it,,which in this case need to be removed and a new one will grow instead if it
