General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Black stool could be due to:
- foods you've consumed recently
- iron multivitamins used
- hemorrhoids

If none, then, occult blood stool testing is highly recommended to rule out more serious gastrointestinal issues. Discuss this further with your caring doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

All the best.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
