Hi I had a PA in dermatology at my dermotologist office check me 6-months ago. He told me a slow growing black barnacle was a SK. 6- months later I was at my MD and showed him my SK and told him I got it pretty flat using protopic ointment. He told me it looked suspicious. I went back to my derm and showed him. he said lets biopsy it. I said why? I had the problem 6-months ago and showed you and you said nada. So he does and my 3/4" diamoter is a SCC. I am very upset. I have had this thing growing for probably 8-months to a year. Now the Derm PA wants to cut it out. I am afraid to let a PA do it as it has been growing slowely for nearly a year. I want to see a surgeon. I have another by my navel that has grown over and is growing in if you ask me. Same time frame. I have one 1/16" by navel growing in. I have one 5/8' -3/4" red ring now.
