What Causes Black And Foul Smelling Diarrhea?

I generally have normal bowel movements about 3 times a day. (Soft) - I eat a lot of fiber...I also drink about a half of a bottle (3 large glasses) of red wine every day. Last night, while I was drinking, I had diarrhea that was black and smelly. This morning, my stools seemed to be back to normal. I did eat some ground beef last night and I ate the leftovers this morning. This has aggitated my stomach. It had a little higher fat content then I normally eat.
On a side note, my blood pressure is higher than normal too, due to losing my job. I normally work out every day, but haven't been able to in 4 months. I just started walking again. Is my liver ok? It feels a little agitated. (Maybe it is in my mind) Should I be concerned? Thanks - Steve

A black, tarry stool (melena) often indicates an upper GI source of bleeding although it could originate from the small intestine or right colon. Other causes of a black stool might include iron or ingestion of bismuth (Pepto-Bismol).
Please stop drinking alcohol .It can cause Gastritis and erosions and also Ulcer
Dont take any pain killers
Dont skip meals ,
Cut down salt and exercise daily to reduce blood pressure .
See a gastroenterologist doctor and get an upper GI endoscopy as soon as possible and follow his advice.
