What Causes Black And Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Birth Control Pills?

Hi, I have been bleeding this black to brownish color vaginal discharge for 2+ weeks now. I am on birth control pills. I m just wondering if I should be worried? Do I need to go see a doctor to get checked out? It is not spotting either it s enough that I have to wear a pad.

Hi, I think you are having a breakthrough bleed. It is a side effect of birth control pills. You can take some medicines like Tranexamic acid to stop the spotting. It will go away with time. If any pain is there, it can be because of infection also. So, get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist. You may need some antibiotics. also.
