Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Bitter taste in person having diabetes can occur due to two reasons .

- Firstly it can be due to extreme dryness of mouth because of diabetes .

- Secondly due to infection in mouth , because there are chances of frequent infection in person having diabetes .

I would suggest you to consult dentist for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and with the help of instrument called probe for gingivitis .

Doctor may perform oral prophylaxis for gingivitis or periodontitis or prescribe antibiotics (metronidazole) course for at least a week .

Till then maintain proper oral hygiene .

Do warm saline rinses 2-3 times a day .

Do chlorhexidine mouthwash rinses twice .

Clean the site of partial denture properly and regularly.

Drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
