Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that pain in left side of mouth along with bitter taste that started with a feeling of popcorn husk caught in between tooth and gum can be due to decay on the wall of tooth that is in contact with adjacent tooth..

Bitter taste in mouth can be due to decay or pus discharge..

However in case if it is not the case and you are suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia then bitter taste can be a side effect of medication..
So my suggestion is to consult your treating Neurophysician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation has to be done..

As of now to mask the taste you can chew sugarfree chewing gum and suck tart candies..
Gargle with flavoured antiseptic mouthwash..
Drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
