What Causes Belching And Burning In Oesophagus On Taking Laxative Before Colonoscopy?
Hi I went to the doc in the box today for paid in air ways that feels like something is stuck (like a burp) but is painful. It hurts from my adam s apple to my stomach. I am also exhausted. This has been going on for a week. The doctor tested for several chest and sinus issues with all being negative. I ve had acid reflux in the past and was on meds for several years. So I mentioned the extended stomach right after I eat and the felling of acid backup. They performed an x-ray of chest and abdomen. The nurse practitioner said there was an air pocket in my upper colon with feces trapped on either side. She prescribed a suppository and a laxative that you take when you have a colonoscopy. The suppository generated a small bowel movement but it have been 6 hours and no bowel movement from the laxative but a lot of belching and burning in the esophagus. Recommendations? I had my last colonoscopy about 18 months ago with good results.
HI Well come to HCM Over all symptoms are suggestive of hyperacidity and as you become conscious about this more you be depressed, just take this easy and no need to go for any investigation instead, in my opinion condition can be best managed with "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Tab Domperidone 30 mg" once in day, Tab Chlordiazepoxide three times in day, everything would be fine soon, take care.
