18 year old son with a bald spot on the side of his head about the size of a quarter. Not red or itchy. He Is very active. Has a new girl friend. Is a thrower in track. Rides a skate board. Working on his eagle project in Boy Scouts. He is not the best student and is under the gun to finish high school on time with his classmates. Is the hair loss from stress or should I be concerned about something else?
It may be alopecia areata. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. I would recommend you to take Intradermal steroid injection in bald patches fortnightly. Apply tacrolimus lotion on the bald patches. Take tab levamisole. Take tab biotin.
