Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . Usually bad odor of feet (bromodosis)comes due to
excessive sweating (
hyperhidrosis) of feet . Our feet has many sweat glands and they are triggered to produce more sweat in some conditions like
hormonal changes in
puberty (in teenagers),in some medical conditions and stress . Excess sweat cause growth of microorganism like fungus and bacteria which further enhance bad odor .
I would suggest you to :-
- Don't wear same shoe daily. Place your shoes in sunlight for some time so that UV radiations of sun kill microorganism and shoe get dry in sun rays.
- Try to avoid wearing nylon socks .
- Sprinkle antiseptic powder on your feet before putting shoe .
- Try to have shoe having pores or wear sandle .
- Maintain proper personal hygiene.
If condition doesn't get better or get worse then
consult dermatologist for proper examination and to rule out any underlying condition like athlete's foot . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics/antifungal medication depending upon your condition .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
