What Causes Backache While Suffering From An Ovarian Cyst?
I had a scan about 4 months ago and it showed that I had a cyst on my right ovary.my gynae prescribed something to ease the pain and some tranexamic acid capsules to help with my clots and heavy menses nd said to give the cyst time to resolve on its own .lately iv had constant pain on the right side and severe back pain.went back to the Dr and he said to have a CT scan which showed a 6cm cyst on the right ovary.my question is will a cyst resolve on its own or there is need to have it surgically removed.sometimes the pain is so much. I had a cystomestomy on both ovaries in 2014 .I am 38 and no kids yet.thank

Hi I think you should get a CA125 level done to find if the cyst is cancerous or not. If it is not cancerous, then you can go for a laparoscopic cystectomy as the size of cyst is more than 5 cm and it is painful also. Hope it helps.
