What Causes Back Pain And Numbness In Heel When Diagnosed With Arthritis?
52 yr old female with arthritis in lower back. Pain has been getting worse. I also now have numbness in the heel of my left foot and groin pain on my right side. Could this all be connected with the arthritis I have in my lower back? Also, will this get worse as I get older?
Yes it is possible. It is not called arthritis, it is called spondylitis. There are chances of bone overgrowth which causes stenosis and compression on nerve roots and spinal cord. This causes pain in leg, tingling and numbness, weakness of muscles etc.
