What Causes Back Pain And Brown Urine?

I have low back pain on left side. Also am experiencing urgency to use the restroom, my urine is brown in color, with maybe a pink tint... I have had some sweats and chills, but not all the time.. Now I have dry mouth, this has been going on for a few days, but the dry mouth is new.

Hello!
This is Dr.Klarida Papaqako answering your question. Thank you for posting your concern to HCM.
From the symptoms you are describing looks like you have an urinary tract infection, and you may need antibiotics to prevent it from getting worse. If I was your caring doctor I would suggest the following:
1) Sweats and chills are sign of probable fever. Check it and if its higher then 98,6 F (37oC), you may take Paracetamol 500mg or Ibuprofen 400 mg as needed, max 4 times/day, with food.
2) Drink plenty of fluids, so the urinary bladder will empty many times, and pour the bacteria out.
3) I would do a urine analyses, and a urine culture before starting antibiotic.
4) I would suggest taking Ciprofloxacin 500mg twice/day for 5 days, which is used in cases when the urinary tract infection gives fever (If you are not allergic of it). Meanwhile the result of the urine culture will come out in 2 days time, and you may change the antibiotic according its result then.

If any more clarification needed, feel free to ask.
Regards.
