What Causes Back Ache Along With Chest Pain?

I just finished mowing my yard and came into the house and sat down in my recliner and all of a sudden I had this pain in my back going clear across the middle of my back. The pain I had never experienced before, then it went to my chest and my husband gave me a nitro pill and it worked but then another pain started around my breasts so I took another nitro pill and it worked. Never have I ever experienced this kind of pain and I have never had to take 2 nitro pills before. I go to see my heart dr. in 3 weeks. Did I have a heart attack?

Hi,

There can be several possibilities for this like:
- Angina pectoris or heart problem.
- Gas in the stomach.
- Iron deficiency anemia.

But your pain subsided after taking Nitroglycerine tablet probably, it suggests you definitely have ischemic heart disease or angina.

I suggest you visit a nearby hospital and get yourself checked. Don't wait for 3 weeks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
